Nothing is true, everything is permitted. Much like this Assassin’s Creed movie they’re making with Magneto. 

Today’s the day we finally have confirmation that the Assassin’s Creed movie is well in production.

Yves Guillemot had this to say regarding the production, a partnership between Ubisoft Motion Pictures – which is a thing, apparently – and New Regency, to be distributed by 20th Century Fox.

“We have the pleasure to announce today that the green light has been given by New Regency, and the production has already started. This is a very important milestone for the project and for our team on Assassin’s Creed.”

The movie is due for release on December 21st, 2016.

In a report that broke earlier today, Kotaku revealed to the world that the next entry in the Assassin’s Creed series–titled Victory–would be coming next year and set in Victorian era London.  The game is currently in development at Ubisoft’s Studio in Quebec for PS4 and will be the franchise’s main entry–with no last gen entry/spinoff coming according to the report.

The screenshots definitely sport impressive visuals, but if Assassin’s Creed Unity has taught us anything, it’s we need to be on our guard with this series moving forward.
