Game #2 from indie darling Mike Bithell, Volume is a stealth game that re-imagines the classic tale of Robin Hood in a near future setting. A timed exclusive, Volume will be releasing on the PS4 in 2015. Will the Thomas Was Alone magic transfer over to Mike’s next project?
Originally a PS3 exclusive in Japan, the Godzilla game that puts you in control of the giant lizard and pits you up against deadly opponents, is now coming to the PS4 in the west. Stomping on cars, blasting buildings with your G-Energy and generally being destructive looks like it will be great fun in Godzilla, a Playstation Exclusive in Summer 2015.
Basement Crawl is described as “the worst game on PS4” and rightfully so. Even though the premise was promising – a Bomberman clone in a dark, horror themed basement – the game failed to deliver and Bloober Team knew it. To apologise, they have returned to the game and have reworked it to include a single player mode, new characters and a graphical spitshine. The changes look to have drastically improved the game and the the re-release will be known as Basement Brawl. “Coming Soon” in 2015 as a PS4 exclusive.
It feels like N++ has been in development for an age but this is mostly because I cannot wait to play this game. Coming to the PS4 as an exclusive in 2015, N++ has you play as a space ninja that has to complete ridiculously difficult levels. Coming complete with fantastic multiplayer (which is perfectly demonstrated by the above trailer) N++ is set to become your new favourite “couch with friends” game.
No Man’s Sky
The hype surrounding No Man’s Sky, an ambitious game from a small studio from Guilford in the UK, is incredible. The ultimate Han Solo simulator, No Man’s Sky contains a procedurally generated universe to explore complete with millions of planets, their landmarks and their inhabitants and everything in-between. Scheduled to release in 2015, No Man’s Sky is a timed PS4 exclusive and will come to the PC. No other consoles have been confirmed.
Dragon Fin Soup
Harking back to the classic top-down Final Fantasy games of old, Dragon Fin Soup is an in-depth RPG with a sense of humour. Coming from the Grimm Bros, a team of veteran developers, Dragon Fin Soup is coming to the PS4 and Vita in 2015.
Grim Fandango Remastered
A dream collaboration between Sony and Tim Schafers Double Fine is bringing one of the best point-and-click adventures ever made – Grim Fandango – to the PS4 as a console exclusive in 2015. The neo-noir adventure has you play as Manny Calavera who is assisting the recently dead “Meche” Colomar in a journey through the underworld.
Pavilion is described as a “Fourth-Person Puzzle Game” and to be honest, I am still trying to determine exactly what that is. Regardless, this game looks lovely and has some thoroughly pleasant sound tracks. Combine these aspects with some mind bending puzzles and Visiontrick Media seem to be onto a winner. Coming to the PS4 as an exclusive in 2015.
Ray’s The Dead
Ray’s The Dead started life as a Kickstarter Campaign by Rag Tag Studios and even though the game was only originally releasing on PC and Mac, the game is now coming to the PS4 in 2015 as a console exclusive. The game has you play as Ray, a recently zombified dead guy who is out to avenge his own death. Using action, stealth, puzzle solving and some weir light bulb that sticks out of his head, Ray is determine to track down his killer.
The Order: 1886
The Order: 1886 has come under plenty of scrutiny during its development with many early previews remarking on the games blandness, some even labelling it a “Gears of War clone”. The turning point for The Order: 1886 seemed to be the recent PSX and the incredible footage that was shown above. The hype train is now officially in motion and it will be pulling into the station when The Order: 1886 arrives as a PS4 exclusive on February 20th, 2015.
