Lead Designer of Alien: Isolation joins Sony to work on Project Morpheus

Lead Designer Gary Napper has announced that today is his last day with Creative Assembly as he is set to join Sony to work on PlayStation’s Project Morpheus.

Napper announced his departure from Creative Assembly via twitter, declaring today to be his last day.

Napper has worked for Creative Assembly as a Design Director for several years, serving as Lead Designer on the BAFTA nominated Alien: Isolation . Napper and his team experimented with VR during his time on Alien: Isolation, getting his hands on the Oculus Rift, Samsung Gear VR and Project Morpheus so it may not be a surprise that his next role is to work on VR projects with Sony, presumably as the Lead Game Designer that was recently advertised by PlayStation.

Creative Assembly recently announced their involvement with Xbox One exclusive and Gamescom surprise entry Halo Wars 2. The studio are also rumoured to be working on a follow up to Alien: Isolation.
